Walk it Out

If there is one thing that we as humans cannot escape, it's death.  But we certainly don't have to help it along!  It is a sad generality that when the elderly enter hospitals to receive care for ailments, many times they leave the hospital in worse condition than when they entered.  This is no fault of medical professionals, but a side effect of body physiology.  When you stop using your body, it gets weaker and begins to break down.
A 70 year old patient decided to not fall victim to this generality.  During a hospital stay for a blockage in his intestines, he walked.  Everyday he was found walking around the hospital.  He was released in three days, good as new!
