Heritage has so many roles in our lives. Knowing where you come from helps you get to where you are going. A certain pride comes from those who understand and appreciate heritage, tradition, and culture. Remembering who we are and preserving that remembrance allows people to draw on the strength of those who have gone before as they try to do the same for future generations.
His Highness, Prime Minister Prince Khalifa Bin Salman al Khalifa, visited with the Director of the State Hermitage Museum in the Federal Republic of Russia, Mikhail Piotrovski. The meeting took place in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
In speaking about heritage, His Highness the Premier stated that heritage is the protection and the strength of nations. It is the bridge that links the past and the future together. It gives identity and purpose.
His Highness also welcomed the chance to exchange expertise between the Bahrain National Museum and the State Hermitage Museum of the Federal Republic of Russia.
Mikhail Piotrovski, understanding the rich history and heritage that comes with the Arab world, commended Bahrain for its strength in preserving their special history and in acting as the foundation of Arab culture.
