LA Dodgers Introduce New Ownership

There are a few things that just go together in the United States.  Apple pie and ice cream.  Fourth of July and fireworks.  When it comes to baseball, only one team rivals the New York Yankees for the fitting partner.  The Los Angeles Dodgers.

One of the most storied franchises in not just baseball, but all of professional sports, the Dodgers have turned the page on a dark era of ownership, and found something magical on the other side.  Los Angeles Laker great, Earvin "Magic" Johnson joins a team of owners that looks to bring the Dodgers back into the light of Major League Baseball.  Other investors with Johnson are Mark Walter, Stan Kasten, Peter Guber, Todd Boehly, and Bobby Patton.

The goal of the new ownership?  First and foremost, to bring winning back to Los Angeles.  They want to win baseball games.  They want to win championships.  But even more so, they want to win the fans of southern California and the country.  They seek to restore greatness to a team that gave us Sandy Koufax, Tommy Lasorda, and the legendary Jackie Robinson.
